About this artwork
Although this larger-than-life head sculpture is a person modeled from memory, it cannot be ruled out that he does exist somewhere in the world. The form conceived and invented here does not exclude the space for reality. Nevertheless, "Spezialist I" is not a natural and imitated image of a person. The designed form becomes a landscape with ups and downs and is the result of three-dimensional, expressive experiences. The head was modeled in clay…
and poured into a special concrete with the help of a lost mold. The design of the concrete surface was then carried out with a glaze in linseed oil, with the addition of earth pigments.

Wolfgang Eckert is a sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited both nationally and in France.
