Harkrader recently completed his fifth painting in the Lyric series. Riverside is a study in composition, motion, texture and color.
Mediums = Mixed on canvas with fibers, vintage music collage. Pumice embedded into multiple layers of acrylic and clear varnishes.
Colors of the earth, contrasted with pleasing grey and accented with black. Canvas is heavily textured with thick skin of multiple mediums. Red and black denote power, strength and confidence.… Power whose energy is tempered by water and earth. Playful polkadots interrupt the seriousness of color. Fibers live on the surface and vintage music live below. Beauty, sensuality, strength and confidence is projected with action and static compositions.

X Harkrader is a painter and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been collected international collectors.
