« To show that the impulse is at the origin of the creative movement, the painting must inspire an experience: follow the course of the line until you perceive a change in thought. »
The works of the French artist XOTT offer spatio-temporal spaces of respite. Aware that the contemporary world generates stress, he sought an expression to awaken our intuitive thoughts. His work suggests what comes from the unconscious. It is original, simple, refined and effective. With an automatic gesture, he sketches his canvases and lets himself be guided by the depth of the form. It emerges and remains suspended between past traces and future perspectives. His works are inspired by R. Matta and Cy Tombly. With poetry and lightness he gives us the freedom to see the present differently.
