Trained at the Beaux-Arts de Valenciennes, Yann Kempen is a painter now represented by the Cecile Duffay gallery in Paris. Combining realistic use of acrylic, walnut stain patinas, and glossy varnish on paper that he maroufles onto canvas, he expresses a personal approach to pop art, reinventing the codes of Vanity.
