About this artwork
This piece was inspired by my previous trip to a busy and bustling city of Shanghai. Compared to other parts of China, Shanghai has a more diverse and cosmopolitan population, from Pudong, a financial district with impressive skylines, to the other side of the Huangpu river, Puxi, the traditional and historic side of Shanghai with the charm, beauty and authenticity of the French Concession, the area that has access to rich variety of restaurants…
and bars. So… if I were to choose, I would go with Puxi ♥️

Indonesian painter Yenny Yohan has exhibited work in Bali and the United Kingdom. Yohan draws inspiration from music, her own experiences, and human emotions. Often drawn to more abstract work, Yohan explores texture through her use of marble powder and layered acrylics.
