About this artwork
In this work I explore the social vacuum as it
I observe in contemporary society: a connection
strong physical and simultaneous disconnection of the
emotion and of the mind.
The field is almost entirely physical — the cyan
dominates, envelops, surrounds. An electric blue ring.
It marks the boundary just before the core. In the
barely visible edges, a touch of magenta and
Yellow: emotion and mind exist but not
participate in the relationship.…
The shape is a torus: a surface that circles
about itself without penetrating the center. We are
physically present, we touched each other, we shared
space — and yet the core of the other remains
unattainable.
Human relationships are, often,
inaccessible. Not for lack of will, but because
The body reaches where emotion and mind do.
They don't dare.
