About this artwork
Metal artist YongHo Park applies metalwork to the painting and adds three-dimensional effects.
And he’d like to show the delicate and elaborate characteristic of metal by using thin aluminum wires.
This 'Time layer' is the work about the preciousness of time and memory.
Like small things add up to big things, every single moment makes a long lifetime. People tend to set a high value on the future, but he often realizes how much we cherish the memories… of the good old days and miss them. So he tried to express precious memories that make us smile and give us the power to live on. Detailed steel wires and delicate textures mean accumulated time, like the sedimentary rocks.
He hopes people can hear what he talks through the work and feel the warm sensibility of metals.
