The melting pink David is a metaphor for the fleeting nature of childhood carefreeness, slipping away like melted ice cream or chewed-up gum. His image is familiar to everyone, but here it is reinterpreted: the familiar ideal transforms into an ephemeral substance, reminding us how sincerity and the lightness of youth dissolve into the reality of adult life, disappearing as quickly as the sweet taste of childhood.
The five-piece series “Mirage… of Youth” explores the boundary between fading youth and approaching maturity. It is a personal journey where the fear of aging, nostalgia, acceptance, and faith in the beauty of every age intertwine. The works are based on reflections about time and oneself. The pink color symbolizes my inner child, while yellow represents the soul and heart. The images of ancient statues — timeless symbols of beauty and harmony — dissolve over time, reminding us of the transience of youth and the desire to preserve our true essence

I am Yulia Graf (Grafskaya), an artist exploring the depths of the human soul through symbolism and conceptual imagery. My work lies on the border between dream and reality, reflecting inner experiences and the search for meaning.
I strive to show that people are not alone in their fears, doubts, and emotions. As an introvert, I study the complexity of the human soul and its subpersonalities to better understand myself and help viewers discover new aspects of their identity with acceptance and awareness.
I work in series, allowing me to explore each theme more deeply and from different angles. I use acrylic, oil, and tempera.
I’ve been drawing since childhood—at the age of six, I decided to become an artist and have never strayed from that path. I explored various fields such as design, illustration, and digital art, but returned to painting, as it is my true language of self-expression.
