Yuliya Martynova is a promising young artist originally from Kazakhstan. After moving to the UK at age 15, Martynova studied law and spent 10 years working in wealth management before leaving the corporate world to pursue art. Her oil on canvas works are characterized by delicate structures and strong narratives picked from her observations of human nature. Martynova's work contemplates departure and the cognitive process of loosing something valuable such as identity, innocence or childhood.
