This sculpture embodies the enigma of human consciousness – a fusion of architecture and thought, captured in bronze. The head, reminiscent of an ancient temple or an abandoned city, is crisscrossed with arches, staircases, and labyrinths. The windows and passageways within the skull suggest an inner world full of secrets and reflections.
The rough surface, coated with nuances of blue and bronze, lends the sculpture an antique appearance, as if… it were an artifact of a lost civilization. Staircases leading nowhere symbolize a quest, a journey into the depths of the mind, a ceaseless striving for knowledge.
This artwork invites diverse interpretations: it could be a metaphor for memory, philosophy, or even dreams. It encourages us to ask ourselves which doors of our consciousness are open and which conceal the unknown.
« I paint because it is what I do best and it defines who I am. »
