About this artwork
The artwork ‘Aging’ is a conceptual work created for The Body Language exhibition in Venice (The Room Contemporary Art Space). It represents the change of the human body and the acceptance of mortality. Looking from the left to right there is a “written” transformation of the body and mind which ends up with visible construction. The painting becomes the body itself.
The frame was cut off in the middle of the work to present not only aging but also… our freedom and independence that comes with experience. So, in the end, this painting cannot be considered as positive or negative, it could be only the truth which art is to present and to deal with.

« Imagination followed by knowledge in geometry, composition and color harmony is my art. Viewers can feel the atmosphere in the painting through colors and intellectual satisfaction from their geometry. »
Zeljka Paic is a prizewinning painter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who has exhibited her work internationally. With a background in architecture, geometry and science heavily influence her artistic practice, but she seeks to balance this technical precision with the importance of expressing emotion and spontaneous thought during the creative process. Her finished works are striking gatherings of metallic color combinations and bold brush strokes.
