About this artwork
The child in the painting is on a journey through the jungle on a blindfolded pony from a fairground ride, leaping over a pond full of carp.
The image is a playful scenario but also poses a threat of danger; a journey into the unknown, which is what childhood, and life, can be like, for both parent and child.
