About this artwork
Inspired by the photograph of the famous Lebanese legend/singer Fairuz, I wanted to draw the audience to her soulful and often sad expression through her eyes.
The shadow effect was minimal in order for the eyes to be the focal point. It was a challenge to capture her in shadow form but worth it in the end. The mixed media style enhanced this effect and enabled me to create the 3 different tonal colours in the other two pieces. The material is on… Canvas and hanging hardware is included and attached. Texture of canvas is smooth.
