About this artwork
Gesture drawing is one of my favourite things to sketch and I wanted to represent it in one of my paintings. Instead of the usual figures as a whole, I wanted to conceptualize a portrait/figure.
I hope the viewers will feel empowered by this piece as well as contemplate the figure's solitude.
Mixed media is a great way to give the feeling of boldness and using acrylics and pastels always gives me that with ease.
