About this artwork
I have always seen the Tejo as the soul of Lisbon, a river that reflects the city's white light and its history.
Strolling through Terreiro do Paço, especially at the end of the day, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for sitting on the steps that lead down to the water.
Upon reaching the riverbank, one can enjoy an incredible view of the Tejo, with the bridge to the right and, on the other side of the river, the Cristo Rei.
I grew up watching… the boats, the bridge, and the beauty of its shores.
As a Lisbon native, I feel a deep connection with the Tejo, which has always been a constant presence in my life.
