About this artwork
Ink, collage and text with pencil: "On the back of the earth, (...), rooftop bar, journeys through different worlds."
It shows a large, densely packed crowd of people on a flat roof. Refugees? People cheering for a star? What connects them?
The house is so collaged that it seems to be flying through the air. For no good reason. fantastic.
A journey through the worlds.
Personal: Title "Rooftopbar", indicates a connection to the luxurious bars… on Skyliners. The artist wanted to go to a rooftop bar when she was in NYC, but she was traveling with her four-year-old daughter and the bars were closed when she wanted to go up because it was too early.
