A curation by Marcos Felinto, founder and curator at 3.gallery - Who is contemplating whom? Does the artist contemplate a scene, do we contemplate what the artist has seen, or do we also become the object of that gaze?
In Contemplation, figures seem suspended for a moment, somewhere between presence and thought. Emptiness, excess, distance, and silence become part of the narrative. These are scenes in which little happens, yet much can be imagined. Painting freezes these brief intervals of life and invites us to remain within them.
