By disrupting the logic of the visible, Surrealism created images that once belonged to the impossible but have gradually become part of our visual language. This selection explores different degrees of that transformation. Some works still carry the classical strangeness of dreams, metamorphosis and absurdity; others displace reality in far subtler ways. The extraordinary no longer needs to confront reality. It can quietly inhabit it. Perhaps this is one of Surrealism’s deepest legacies: expanding reality until the surreal itself could become part of it.
