A curation by Letícia Stallone, Independent Curator at Ikkeirute.art - This curation marks the beginning of a series of conversations between artists whose works I feel naturally belong together. Olamide Ogunade Olisco and Emmanuel Akolo have both been among my favourite artists on Singulart for some time, and I decided to bring them together as a way of honouring the strong visual and emotional connections I see between their practices. Both artists have a remarkable eye for everyday life, capturing ordinary scenes with vibrant colours and a subtle melancholy: a kind of melancholic reality where beauty, intimacy, and quiet tension coexist.
