A curation by Juliana Angulo, Art Historian, Curator, and Advisor at FAREX & Singulart - Since the 20th century, pure abstraction has fascinated artists and collectors alike. Drawing inspiration from Cubism, the exploration of geometry emerged moving beyond representation and figuration. In Russia, Suprematists such as Malevich evoked spirituality through form, creating shapes that floated across surfaces. Similarly, Constructivists such as El Lissitzky expressed emotion through solid structures. In Germany and the USA, the Bauhaus movement focused on geometry and color as central components of their creations. Today, this pursuit continues elevated by vibrance and a highlighted sense of movement. In this collection, multichromatic compositions give new life to forms and shapes, introducing a contemporary feel through their vivid palette. The works here are balanced yet dynamic: squares, circles, and triangles interplay between motion and stability. Although the pieces are two-dimensional, a sense of space, depth, and perspective remains palpable. Shapes and hues dance across the canvases, creating fresh illusions of music and motion.
