Between Pages - curated by Natalie Slater

A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - There’s a particular quiet to someone caught reading. Across these works, figures sit, stand, stretch out, or wait with their attention fixed on a book or newspaper. The settings change, but the gesture stays remarkably familiar. Some read alone, others alongside people, and some seem to have simply stopped whatever they were doing for a few pages. It’s an ordinary act, but one that creates a small sense of privacy around each figure.
