A curation by Juliana Angulo, Art Historian, Curator, and Advisor at FAREX & Singulart - Inspired by the Surrealist movement, this collection aims to enter our subconscious presenting altered perspectives on everyday objects. A compilation of black-and-white photographs with minimal backgrounds transforms reality through creativity and imagination. These dream-like images capture zoomed-in fragments of daily items, morphing them into genuine pieces of art. A blank canvas with shadows across its surface, a human finger marked with a digital print, intertwined telephones, and an isolated shirt rack, are among the visuals that evoke conceptual notions such as love, truth, and resilience. Here, symbolism meets a touch of irony, where unexpected elements become familiar and the ordinary becomes bizarre. Decontextualized creations open space for fluid interpretations, shifting our perceptions between concept, reverie, and contemporary surrealism.
