Photographed at close range, layers of rock fold across one another while narrow openings interrupt the frame with sudden passages of light. Across the works, deep reds, oranges, and violet tones shift with changing shadows, drawing attention to details that can feel unexpectedly abstract. Cropped from the larger landscape, the canyon becomes difficult to read at a glance: a wall can resemble a painted surface, a crevice becomes a sharp field of color, and the distinction between depth and flatness begins to disappear.
