About the Charity Auction for Doctors of the World sale

Singulart is collaborating with Doctors of the World for a Charity Sale!

From October 8th to 12th, Singulart hosted a Charity Auction to benefit the international NGO, Doctors of the World. Since 1980, the organization has been committed to providing universal access to healthcare.

The sale took place over 5 days in the form of a top-down auction often referred to as a 'candle auction". Singulart offered 40 artworks by artists from all over the world with a price range from €2,000 to €20,000.

Committed and international, the organization Doctors of the World and Singulart share values of diversity and equal opportunity. In 2019, Singulart raised funds for the NGO around the theme of exile.

We are proud to announce that thanks to your support we have raised €15.000. This donation will allow the Association to open a reception center for underage migrants for 3 months and give them access to medical and medico-social consultations.

How does a candle auction work?

The sale opens with available artworks at their original price. Then day after day the prices melt like candle wax, slowly dropping lower and lower until it is acquired. The longer you wait, the lower the price but the higher the risk of someone else acquiring the piece before you.
