A curation by Rose Boutboul, Independent Curator at - COCAGNE evokes a place of abundance, gentleness, and rest—a dreamlike world where color, light, and matter become a refuge. This exhibition brings together works that celebrate the beauty of everyday life, interior landscapes, and rediscovered slowness.
From nap scenes to sun-drenched horizons, each work invites contemplation. The artists convey a vibrant sense of calm, where simple gestures—walking, gazing, remembering—take on a poetic quality. The color, often vivid and generous, structures the space and conveys a peaceful joy and serene energy.
The compositions oscillate between figuration and abstraction: sometimes a shore or a garden can be glimpsed, sometimes only sensations remain—the warmth of an afternoon, the silence of a morning. Some works also address memory and the cycle of time, like a discreet reminder of the continuity of life, between day and night, season and new beginnings.
COCAGNE is an ode to luminous simplicity: a call to slow down, to look differently, and to find in the ordinary the trace of a possible paradise.
