Constructivism is an art movement that was born out of the Russian Revolution in 1917. The movement symbolized a socialist ideology, which influenced architecture, literature, painting, photography, and sculpture.
By rejecting the bourgeois art movement, constructivism celebrated simplicity, pure and refined design as well as geometric forms. The artworks were inspired by cubism and futurism. During its nascency, artists such as the Stenberg brothers and Alexander Rodtchenko, aimed to combine aesthetics and function in their artworks.
In this collection, discover how Singulart artists mix simplicity with structure, showing us how constructivism meets contemporary art.
