A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - This selection marks the transition from cyberpunk to posthuman, where the human-machine hybridization becomes more lyrical and sensitive. From the worlds of Lang, Asimov, and Dick to the Japanese visions of Akira and Ghost in the Shell, robots appear humanized here, imbued with gazes that evoke innocence and fragility. As if playing in the background to the strains of Lorn's Anvil, the works convey an aesthetic suspended between the organic and the artificial, the same aesthetic that lives today in Black Mirror and Love, Death & Robots. This episode concludes the trilogy begun with Manga – Global Myth and Comix – Icons in Transit, charting the horizon of a posthuman and transcultural imagination.
