A curation by Eugenia Durandy de Naurois-Turgot, at - The contemporary figure retains its full corporeal integrity while releasing the authority of the face, redistributing meaning across stance, mass, and spatial relation. In these works, identity settles into the incline of a torso, extends through the alignment of limbs, concentrates along the axis of the spine, and diffuses across chromatic fields that envelop the head in blur, shadow, or abstraction. Expression unfolds through posture, proportion, interval, and chromatic pressure, transforming the figure into a site where presence is articulated through structure and embodied configuration.
Within this selection, recognition arises through corporeal arrangement itself. The figure becomes an orchestration of volume, cadence, and surface: a constructed presence in which flesh, orientation, and atmosphere converge into a sustained inquiry into how identity persists beyond facial disclosure.
