Human warmth - curated by Rose Boutboul

A curation by Rose Boutboul, Independent Curator at - Human Warmth brings together works that capture simple gestures—a hug, an offered shoulder, two bodies brushing against each other—and transform them into vibrant scenes of intimacy. Acrylic on canvas seizes the spontaneity of embraces with warm, rapid washes of paint. Spray paint creates diffuse silhouettes, as if seen through the mist of a moment too intimate to be clear. Oil on paper, a slower process, focuses on details: the curve of an arm, a reassuring hand. On linen, the natural fibers make the bodies porous, almost breathable. Ceramics, on the other hand, sculpt tenderness: two forms that come together, support each other, or simply rest against one another. Together, these works tell of the sweetness of being with someone, the warmth that flows from one body to another, the simplicity of a soothing touch. Human Warmth celebrates these tiny but essential moments when we hug, reconnect, and embrace—moments when the world, for a fleeting instant, becomes more habitable.
