In the time interval - curated by Ainhoa Fernández

A curation by Ainhoa Fernández, Art gallerist and curator at AF - Time is perhaps the only element common to all forms of existence, and yet it remains one of the most elusive themes in artistic practice. Situated between the measurable order of Chronos and the subjective and transformative dimension of Kairos, the works gathered in this exhibition explore different ways of experiencing, remembering, and imagining time. Far from understanding it as a linear succession of events, the artists present here approach it as a territory shaped by memory, repetition, absence, and change. Their works reveal overlapping temporalities where the historical and the personal, the intimate and the collective, coexist in constant transformation. Inspired by reflections ranging from Henri Bergson's notion of duration to contemporary perspectives on memory and perception, the exhibition proposes time as an active force that shapes our experience of the world. Between Chronos and Kairos invites us to pause, observe, and inhabit other possible rhythms, understanding time not as something that simply passes, but as something that is constructed through memory, attention, and presence.
