A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - Isabel Kleinert’s Candy Series is built through layers of resin and pigment, with translucent fields of color overlapping across each surface. Pinks move through orange and violet, yellows slip into green and blue, and new colors appear wherever one form passes over another.
There is something almost physical about the color here. The resin gives the paintings a glossy depth, while Kleinert’s rounded shapes seem to float at different levels within the surface. Some stretch across the composition in long, loose waves; others gather into softer, bulbous forms that feel suspended beneath the resin.
