La Tour Eiffel in Black & White - curated by Juliana Angulo

A curation by Juliana Angulo, Art Historian, Curator, and Advisor at FAREX & Singulart - This curation renders homage to the Tour Eiffel, its history, and iconic aesthetic. Built in 1889 on the occasion of the Exposition Universelle, this emblematic structure has fascinated humanity for over a century. A defining symbol of Paris and the Industrial Revolution, the tower embodies both modern engineering and artistic sophistication, rising 330 meters high. This series proposes a variety of monochromatic photographs that present “La Dame de Fer” stripped from color, allowing contrasts and the interplay of light sources to elevate its silhouette. While some images may appear surreal, others feel subtly humorous or simply striking, yet all remind us of its unforgettable presence, bringing the viewer closer to Paris.
