A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - ‘Morphed Fragments’ begins with things we think we recognize. A face, a hand, the curve of a body—each appears briefly before slipping into something harder to name. Across the selection, forms are pulled apart, compressed, blurred, and reassembled until their original anatomy becomes difficult to recover. There is a strange familiarity to these works. The eye keeps trying to put the pieces back together, looking for an original form that may no longer exist. Rather than resolving into a clear figure, each work remains somewhere between what it was and what it has become.
