A curation by Juliana Angulo, Art Historian, Curator, and Advisor at FAREX & Singulart - In commemoration of the International Museum Day celebrated yearly on May 18th, this collection symbolizes the importance of these institutions not only to promote cultural preservation, but also to foster intellectual enrichment. Through a combination of photographs and hybrid works, diverse perspectives on museums and artistic spaces are presented. From portraits of visitors to indoor galleries, conceptual settings, and emblematic exteriors, these images capture their essence by evoking not only notions of contemplation and admiration, but also subtle humor. They also reflect on the viewer’s experience along with the role of art in modern society, while academia and contemporary visions coexist. Ultimately, museums are portrayed as immersive environments with potential to inspire and carry knowledge across generations.
