A curation by Natalie Slater, Art Agent at Snap Collective - ‘New Nobility’ brings together painters reinterpreting the grandeur of Renaissance portraiture through a distinctly contemporary lens. Each artist takes the familiar codes of aristocratic portraiture — high collars, gilded fabrics, floral brocades — and distorts them with saturated color, pattern, and irony. The figures remain poised and formal, yet something slips: a wash of neon, a polka-dot background, a face softened into near abstraction.
