A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - In his ‘Washed’ series, Italian artist Nicolas Crocetti works with repetition and gradual shifts in density to create surfaces that seem to move in and out of focus. Fine, ordered patterns give way to darker fields and softened edges, creating the sense of an image being interrupted or slowly erased. Printed on metal, the works move between the precision of a digital image and something more atmospheric, where light, surface, and perception become part of how the image is read.
