A curation by Marcos Felinto, founder and curator at 3.gallery - Whether in a classic photograph by Cartier-Bresson, an Amazonian image by Geraldo Ramos, or a pointillist scene by Georges Seurat, rivers have always leaned over our gaze. At first, we believe they pass by us; yet, in an expanded vision of time, it is humanity that passes by them — in its ephemeral bodies, in its grand or simple constructions, all equally destined to fade away.
Who passes by whom? The magic of the rivers´ movement flows through visual and temporal parallels, encircling human imagination and impulse. In this curation, each work reflects the flow of life — the invisible course between permanence and transience, between what the eye captures and what time dissolves.
