Parts of Europa - curated by Vlad Merariu

A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - Parts of Europa is a collection assembled like a slow train journey across the continent, stopping not at capitals but at corners: a flowery balcony in Provence, an evening square in Ljubljana, the Gothic shadow of Bran Castle in Romania, a sun-baked alley in Mojácar. Eighteen works in oil and acrylic trace Europe not as a map but as a feeling, moving from Aleksei Mirek's quietly luminous Slovenian townscapes to Carlos Arriaga's sweeping Spanish vistas, from Fabio Tamussin's Transylvanian stone to Roy Tate's shimmering Bellagio waterfront. The moodboard is terracotta and evening gold, cobblestone grey and Mediterranean blue, lavender fields and amber twilight; the Europe of lived memory, unhurried and irreducibly beautiful.
