A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - In the selection I proposed, space is not configured as a mere container, but as an alienating aesthetic experience.
The works are not confined to the visual horizon alone, but stimulate the exercise of the senses: touch, hearing, smell, rhythm.
Shapes and colors change as the observer's attention varies, but also as external light conditions and time itself change.
The space within each work becomes the boundary of the gaze and is already a full bodily experience.
These canvases invite contemplative yet active silence: a profound feeling that originates from the gaze. They thus encourage a synaesthetic perspective, in which seeing becomes the perceptive act that triggers and activates deeper stimuli.
