Swans: Line, Myth, Motion - curated by Vlad Merariu

A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This collection places the swan at center stage - the emblem where ballet’s line meets myth. From studio poise to theatrical flight, figures echo the grammar of Swan Lake: épaulement as wing, arabesque as arc, a flock’s unison as living chorus. Paint, ink, and mixed media render feathers as light and gesture - brushwork that lifts, smudges that blur velocity, silhouettes that hold the charged pause before release. The symbol carries its history-purity and peril, Odette/Odile duality - while contemporary visions push from narrative to abstraction. United by dance as inspiration and the swan as sign, these works read motion as design and grace as momentum.
