A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - This curatorial selection centers on the female figure as it moves through a Cubist language.
Forms are fractured and reassembled—faces split, bodies turned, perspectives layered at once. The figure holds its position in the foreground, but it’s inseparable from its surroundings. Pattern, interior, and body are built through the same system.
Background and figure operate together. Tiled spaces, decorative fields, and flattened planes extend across the surface, folding into the body rather than sitting behind it.
Color sharpens the structure. Outlines contain it; geometry organizes it.
Across these works, the female form remains the constant—reworked through a visual language that prioritizes construction over likeness.
