A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - The works selected for this collection belong to diverse genres that, at first glance, might seem irreconcilable: painting and photography, abstraction and figuration. Yet, they all share a characteristic trait: a concrete dynamism that becomes a veritable structure of the visible.
These images do not represent the passage of time, but the moment of crossing it, which is therefore not configured as a summary element but becomes dynamic matter, a principal theme capable of acting on the form, shaping and distorting it.
Dynamic crossing manifests itself in different ways: sometimes it shatters the form, sometimes it tilts and distorts it through a skillful use of color vibrations. Other times, however, it condenses into the momentary stasis that precedes the event, the crucial moment when something is about to happen.
The resulting images cannot be fixed, the surface pulsates, the color flows, the form breaks, tilts, rarefies.
Some works capture movement itself, others hold it in anticipation of an imminent change.
