April 15 marked World Art Day: a moment to reflect on and pay tribute to the role of art in shaping how we see and understand the world. As an extension of this special day, we’ll be celebrating all of April as World Art Month. Art gives form to ideas, emotions, and perspectives that may otherwise be difficult to express, creating space for interpretation, dialogue, and new ways of thinking.

This week, we turn our focus to painting: one of the most versatile and widely embraced mediums, constantly redefining how stories and ideas are brought to life. Painting stands at the core of art history, shaping how we see and interpret the world. Across centuries and movements, it has carried ideas, emotions, and cultural memory—remaining one of the most enduring forms of artistic expression.
