About this artwork
The work exudes an almost telluric energy. The application of color is not flat, but proceeds through accumulation and subtraction. The use of a palette knife (or a rigid tool) is clearly perceptible, attacking the surface, creating a texture that transforms the painting into a three-dimensional object. seek to please the eye with harmony, but challenges it with the force of the material. It recalls European Informel painting (reminiscent of certain works by Emilio Vedova or Nicolas de Staël for its chromatic synthesis), but maintains its own specific identity thanks to that central light that seems to suggest hope or origin.
