A barefoot woman sits against a plain ivory background, painted simply in black and white. Her dress is a collage of raw canvas, a quiet hint at creativity. Where her head should be, there's a big, vivid orange splash—wild, messy, alive. It's like the head itself has exploded into thought and feeling. I see it as a symbol of how chaotic the mind can be, but also how that chaos holds a lot of creative energy. The contrast between the calm figure and… the burst of color says something about the way we often look still on the outside, while inside everything is moving. Headspace is a minimalist, psychological piece, a small reflection on how creativity and disorder are often two sides of the same thing.
This limited edition originates from an original work. The work is hand-signed and accompancertificate of authenticity.
« My paintings have a strong autobiographical component. I like to portray experiences and feelings with delicate brushstrokes and calm colors. »
Anja Spagl is an artist based in France who has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in Germany. Being a proud vegetarian and animal lover, she often portrays animals and explores the human-animal relation in her compositions. Occasionally, Spagl's pieces also contain subtle critiques towards today's society. She paints using acrylics and oils on canvas. Originally a way of escaping reality, art is now her full-time occupation.
