About this artwork
With this oil painting, I attempted to capture the vibrant, creative energy of a garden. An abstract garden house invites the viewer to linger. It is a tribute to the joy of nature, which fills every space with a touch of life and inspiring dynamism. It is one of my rarer works from the early years of my artistic career! A special piece from my private collection.
Annachrista Kroll-Buchholz is a glass painter and mosaic artist trained in the 1950s and 60s, having studied at renowned art academies and schools in Stuttgart and Krefeld. Since 1966, she has worked as a freelance artist in her KB studio. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including oil painting, watercolor, pastel, sketching, glass and metal sculpture, mosaics, and leaded glass, with painting, drawing, and sketching taking center stage since 2009. Her style combines the depiction of nature and people, moods, and socio-critical themes. Her works often reveal a profound inner landscape and encourage viewers to reflect and be moved by them.
