This piece was created during a time where I was in a painful transition period, and desperately needed something or someone to look to for guidance. As I created the piece, I found that it wasn't looking to anyone or anything but rather, looking up. The painting represents the hope of looking to the universe, to something greater than ourselves when dealing with hardships. This piece was my first large one on fabric, so I had to take a risk and…
