About this artwork
Some of the backgrounds in my works are a single color. The background consists of several layers, in this case a dark blue-gray created with gold pigments. The three layers create a depth that, thanks to the gold pigments, gains a warm atmosphere.
The majestic serenity, inner strength, and power of the stag take center stage and are perfectly complemented by the warm blue background. The abstraction of the figurative elements is important to me.… It reveals both the self-sufficient power of the wild animal and, through the dissolution of the body, the fragility of nature and all living things. The image radiates both tranquility and strength – a powerful energy boost for the home, awakening both awareness and serenity.
