"'Gate Gate' is an artwork inspired by the famous mantra of the Heart Sutra: Gate Gate Pāragate Pārasaṃgate Bodhi Svāhā, a chant dedicated to transcendence and spiritual awakening.
In this painting, the serene countenance of a meditative face emerges through veils of light and color, surrounded by ethereal forms that evoke the expansion of consciousness. Lotus flowers—symbols of purity and elevation—bloom at the base of the composition, while a… dreamlike universe of energy and glimmers envelops the scene.
The palette, both vibrant and delicate, intertwines shades of violet, blue, and gold, suggesting a crossing into the subtler states of being. The piece invites the viewer on an inner journey: to let go of the known and move toward the clarity and luminous emptiness of enlightenment.
