True Joy tells the story of taking the time to really feel what is going on inside your body. to listen to the wisdom that is already present in each of us. To not let yourself be guided by your inner critics. To enjoy every beautiful moment in life and to be thankful about it. To celebrate the moments of joy and really connect with these gems. Life does not always just happen to us. We can choose to step up our game and live the life we really… want. That can start today by appreciating what is already there. By going for light, joy and fun instead of paying attention to the negative, the critics and what is not going well.
This work 'True Joy' invites you to step into your true joy. It feels like a shower of happy vibes, positivity and fun. May it find you smiling ;-)
« I am highly motivated to live a life as authentic as possible and I am interested in what keeps us away from our own fire and intuition. »
Carine’s artwork is recognized for its abstract qualities, incorporating emotional movement, graffiti type marks and words that reveal her journey.
My work is deeply rooted in personal transformation, shaped by my journey as a survivor of domestic violence. My artwork is known for its abstract qualities, incorporating emotional movement, graffiti-style marks, and words to establish a ‘social ground’ within my paintings.
Through this process, I aim to question, challenge, and provoke established narratives and cultural hierarchies, particularly those surrounding equality and abuse; while inviting new perspectives and interpretations.
I have studied for almost 20 years at both the Academy of Art in Brugge & Mechelen, Belgium. I am classically trained and I master a wide range of painting and drawing techniques, from realistic work to expressive and experimental styles.
